Good morning beautiful people!

I pray that everyone is doing well today! If you’d like to go straight to my new song you can click here to listen! (I strongly suggest using headphones) Follow me on Twitter and Instagram!

I wanted to tell all of you Happy Valentine’s Day! For you husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends, and even just friends, today is a great day to spend a special time with each other! Now, I say that but ANY day is a great day to spend special time with each other. I recommend not waiting just for a holiday. I just want to make that clear! haha! I’ve seen some students get very creative in presenting their boyfriends/girlfriends with gifts. I’ve seen pictures and videos of special dinners from couples planned, cooked, and served on Facebook. It’s so wonderful and beautiful seeing how we love each other! And God wants us to love! He is the Biggest Lover of All! He made love for us to enjoy!

Read 1 Corinthians 13 in it’s entirety! That’s the love chapter!

I read two WONDERFUL articles on Desiring God speaking on Valentine’s Day. I encourage all who read my post to go and read them both! I could summarize them on here but I’m afraid I may unintentionally dilute the messages in them!

Valentine’s Is About Jesus

Valentine’s Day Belongs to God

The past few months I’ve been spending more and more time with God, our First Love. I’ve been reading Scripture, meditating on that Scripture, and praying to Him. I’ve been asking Him for clarity and vision for what He wants to do in my life. I know He has a plan for all of us. He sends us an invitation to be with Him. I say invitation because Jesus describes the kingdom of God as being like a wedding banquet. It’s an open invitation for EVERYONE that is repeated over and over again. It’s an open invitation to a PARTAAYYY! WOOO! BUT in all seriousness, we should NOT take this invitation lightly! And we can’t enter the kingdom of heaven on our own terms – only on Jesus’ terms!

During these months, I’ve also composed a song as well! I did this one a little differently then my other Valentine’s Day musical works. I’m still playing the piano and singing but in the middle of the song, I shut my mouth and just let God’s music and spirit run through my fingers, through my ears, and through my heart. At 3:31, when I slow things down, I encourage those of you who listen to my song to say a quick prayer for your loved ones (friends, families, significant others, etc.). Pray for whatever comes to your mind. Encouragement through a tough and trying time, celebration for an accomplishment, healthier relationships, etc. Then at 5:17, when the main theme comes back and before I start singing again at 6:18, take that time to listen to God. We can get so bogged up in saying this and that to God and asking Him for so much that we forget to wait patiently and listen for His answer. Now, He may not respond to you during the short time of my little song but let this symbolize how we need to pray to God. He wants us to come to Him with our burdens and also with our joys. But we mustn’t forget (WE, as in I’m included!) to sit patiently and listen for His voice.

I hope you all enjoy my new song, “Your Smile Makes It Hard To Say Goodbye”! (Use headphones!) Share if you’d like! I would really appreciate it!

May God Bless You and Keep You!
